Girl Meets Texas (Part 2) is the twenty-first episode in season 2 of Girl Meets World and the 42nd episode overall. It also serves as the second part in the 3-part event. It aired on October 17, 2015 to 2.9 million viewers.
Riley, Maya and Lucas try to figure out their feelings while they are in Texas together.
Picking up right after where Girl Meets Texas: Part 1 left off, Lucas is standing on the porch trying to understand what Riley meant when she said they were brother and sister. Riley and Maya come outside, and Riley makes an awkward attempt at playing “buddy” with Lucas to emphasize her earlier definition of their relationship. He still doesn’t really understand, but Riley keeps saying that they’re friends, like brother and sister, and that’s how they’ll be forever. Lucas asks Maya if she’s really not going to talk to him again (which she said she’d never do if he rode the bull), but she answers that he could have gotten really hurt, and that would have affected the people who care about him.
The kids decide to stop arguing and go out and have some fun on their first night in Texas. They go to a place called Chubbie's, a place known for good barbecue food and good music. At Chubbie's, Riley asks Maya to talk to Lucas, but Maya says she doesn’t want anything to change. Instead, Riley asks Lucas to dance. Maya sits down with Farkle and Zay, discouraged and confused. Farkle comforts her. On the dance floor, Riley explains to Lucas that she would rather be comfortable as friends than date for a while and then break up. Meanwhile, Zay’s lost love Vanessa shows up, and Maya and Riley decide to pretend to be Zay’s girlfriend to help him make her jealous. Maddie and Tae play a love song, which makes the group uncomfortable at first.
After Chubbie's, Pappy Joe sets up a campfire for the gang. Riley tells Maya that she will always be her best friend, no matter what. That there is nothing she could do that would ruin their friendship. Vanessa shows up and asks Zay for a second chance, which she gets, and they leave together. Riley then asks Farkle to go with her to get ice cream, and they get up to go. When Maya asks Riley what she’s doing, Riley tells her to feel whatever she’s feeling, and she then turns to Lucas and tells him that Maya likes him. Maya tries to stop her, but Riley tells Lucas that Maya has liked him all this time, she’s just been hiding it. Lucas asks Riley how she thinks of him, and she repeats her answer that they are brother and sister. He tries to object, but she tells him his only option is to start seeing her like that. To Maya, she says that she knows that she stepped back, and then she walks out with Farkle.
Left alone by the fire, Lucas asks Maya if she likes him. She objects. She starts making fun of him like she usually does, but he shuts her up by pulling her close and leans in as if to kiss her. She admits that she does in fact like him, but that she also doesn’t want to keep any other secrets from Riley.
The next morning, Lucas thanks both Judy the sheep and Tombstone the bull for shaping him into the young man he's become, but tells them that they're nothing compared to Riley and Maya. He then bids his Pappy Joe farewell and he returns to New York.

Lucas: Brother and sister. Riley and I are brother and sister now. What does that even mean?
Zay: What does anything mean out the mouth of a girl?
Lucas: Maya, are you seriously not gonna talk to me?
Maya: You could have gotten hurt on that stupid bull. What do you think you getting hurt would have done to the people who..
Zay: Care about you? I think you were gonna say "care about you".
Maya: I'm not talking about me, think I'm talking about me?
Zay: Yes, I do.
Maya: I'm talking about everybody here!
Farkle: You won't do anything to me 'cause I'm a New York intellectual and you don't wanna be a cliche.
Pappy Joe: ...Lucas, fetch me my shotgun.
Farkle: Maya, what's going on with you—
Maya: I don't know! Do you know! 'Cause... help me.
[Farkle moves his chair closer to Maya's, and Maya rests her head on Farkle's shoulder]
Riley: Maya! Will you please say something to him? I know that you care about him. It's okay!
Maya: I just don't want anything to change
Riley: [Walks over to Lucas] Hey Huckleberry! Are we dancing, or what?
Lucas: Oh! We can do that? Is that part of the new rules?
Riley: This kind of dancing? Yeah, sure!
Riley: The only thing I know is that I wanna be able to talk to you. And that maybe this is the best way to do that.
Lucas: That's what you want?
Riley: You know what I don't want? I don't wanna go out for a while, break up, and not like each other anymore. Isn't that what happens next, isn't that what people do? I don't understand that, Lucas. I always want you around. Maybe the best way to do that is to be like brother and sister.
Farkle: You didn't want him to get hurt because care about him.
Maya: I care about all of us.
Farkle: You care about him.
Maya: I care about all of us!
Farkle: You care about him.
Maya: I will kill you.
Vanessa: Wanna introduce me?
Zay: Yeah! Uh, this is Farkle-
Farkle: Texas lady.
Zay: And, uh, this is my friend, Maya.
Maya: You did not just do that!
Maya: You did not just introduce your girlfriend as your friend.
Zay: [laughs] What?
Maya: Isaiah Earl Babineaux -
Vanessa: Your middle name is Earl?
Maya: Next time you introduce your girlfriend as your friend, we are through. Do you hear me?
Zay: I mean, I hear you, but I-I..
Maya: Put your arm around me! Twirl my hair. Call me honey nugget.
Zay: Hi, honey nugget.
Maya: Hi, hunkalicious!
Vanessa: A little possessive, no?
Maya: Well, the good ones, you don't let get away, know what I mean? With all the girls chasing him around New York City, you have to swoop right in or he'll be gone! I said, YOU HAVE TO SWOOP RIGHT IN OR HE'LL BE-
Riley: Isaiah Hank Babineaux!
Riley: I don't care. I only care that you don't let Maya get her hooks into you when you know you are mine.
Zay: This is my friend, Riley.
Maya: Now how do you like it when he calls you a friend, Riley?
Riley: I like it.
Maya: No, you do not like it.
Riley: I do not like it when you call me "just friend".
Zay: Well, what would you like for me to call you?
Riley: I would like for you to call me "Cotton Candy Face"!
Maya: Good girl, I know that was hard.
Vanessa: Zay, is it possible I've misjudged you?
Riley: It's possible, Vanessa.
Vanessa: How do you know my name?
Maya, Farkle: Too much, too much, too much!
Farkle: [to Zay and Lucas] You guys were lucky.
Lucas: How come?
Farkle: To grow up out here. To have this sky, and the stars. This has been the best weekend of my life. Thank you.
Riley: Promise we'll always be friends, no matter what?
Riley: Promise. No matter what happens, I am telling you, I'll always be your best friend no matter what.
Maya: Oh. There is *nothing* I could do?
Riley: No, there's not. There is nothing you could do, Maya. Do you understand? It's you and me, until the time that we, you know..
Riley and Maya: [imitate dying] Bleh.
Vanessa: I wanted to say I'm sorry.
Zay: What'd you do?
Vanessa: I never really gave you a chance. Now I'm too late because I could never steal you away from your new friends, could I?
Zay: Steal me from these people? Hmph. No. No, you couldn't.
Vanessa: What if I bought you ice cream?
Riley: You need to feel whatever you feel, Maya. It's you and me forever. There is *nothing* that you could ever do to change that.
Riley: [to Lucas] Maya likes you.
Riley: She's been hiding it all this time. It's why she couldn't watch you at the rodeo.
Maya: What are you doing?!
Riley: I saw you, Maya. I saw how much you cared.
[to Lucas] It's why she makes fun of you, I think.
Lucas: Riley, what are we?
Riley: I told you what we are.
Lucas: What if that's not what I think we are?
Riley: Well, then, you better start thinking of us like that.
Riley: [to Maya] You stepped back. I know you stepped back.
Lucas: What's going on?
Maya: I don't know.
Lucas: I'm her brother now?
Lucas: You like me?
Lucas: Maya, why didn't you want me to ride in the rodeo.
Maya: Because.. I didn't want you to win, and get all conceited.
Lucas: I don't think that's it.
Maya: [imitiating Lucas in a Southern accent] I don't think that's it.
Lucas: I don't talk like that, I just don't! Why do you see me like that?
Maya: Of course I don't see you like that! Can we just .. can we just look at this fire, please.
Maya: It's been bad enough that I've been keeping this secret from Riley all this time.
Lucas: What secret?
Maya: You guys are so much alike. I thought you were just like brother and sister too.
Maya: You're at your best when you're just talking to each other. Looking out for each other. That's what I believed, but I kept it a secret. And now the secret's out, so I don't have to carry it around with me anymore. I just don't wanna have any more secrets from her.
Lucas: So you don't make fun of me because you like me?
Maya: I'm just gonna watch this fire.
Lucas: Maya, why do you make fun of me?
Maya: Because you're easy to make fun of!
Lucas: Okay, then stop!
Maya: Because you're a huckleberry. Because you're a Ranger Rick.
Lucas: Would you stop?
Maya: Look, if I had feelings for you, don't you think I'd just come right out and say it? Well, I don't, so what I do say is "ha-hurr"
Lucas: [leans in to kiss her]
Maya: *whispering* Why did you do that?
Lucas: I don't know, I just wanted you to stop! Please don't tell my sister.
Maya: You couldn't think of another way to stop me?
Lucas: Not at the time, no! I'm sorry?
Maya: You don't have to be sorry, Huckleberry. Of course I like you. You're a good guy. If you got hurt, I don't know what I would have done.
